At Altekio we are aware that the exercise of our activity has an impact on many areas of people’s lives and the environment in which we work; for this reason we have some tools that allow us to work consciously on the impact we have.
Social Balance
The social balance sheet is a tool of the Madrid Social Market and REAS (Alternative and Solidarity Economy Network), entities of which we are part and which help us to develop our productive activities based on the fundamental principles of the Social and Solidarity Economy (work, equity, cooperation, commitment to the environment, non-profit and sustainability).
It allows us to carry out an exercise of self-evaluation and reflection, to show our commitment to transparency and also to highlight good practices. Here you can see the detailed report.

Carbon Footprint
The exercise of our work involves us traveling to different territories and needing online servers.
We periodically review our practices to try to reduce the resulting emissions as much as possible; likewise, to try to compensate for this impact, each year we take the step of calculating the tonnes of CO2 emitted by our travels, and we donate to an eco-social project that helps to improve the quality of life of people living in the most vulnerable areas impacted by climate change.
In 2022 the result of the CO2 emissions calculation was 20 tonnes, and we have therefore donated €1,000 to the Lurgaia Foundation to regenerate forests in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve (Bizkaia).
